FYI - Informational only, registration on http://local.phillyteamtennis.org/localspring/wcspring/West Chester Jr. Tennis League Spring 2021 An Affordable Tennis Program Managed and Run by the Philadelphia Area Team Tennis Association  Learn and play tennis on a team!  Just as in baseball, soccer, and basketball, players will be placed on tennis teams and play against other teams in a supervised match play format.  Here are some details: Where: East Goshen Park, West Chester, PA When: Matches and Practices will be Saturday afternoons and at 1 of 3 sessions: 8 and under Red Division For Ages: 5-8 Years Old Format: Red Transition Balls, 36 Foot Court Time First 3 Sessions: Saturdays, 2:45-3:45 Last 4 Sessions: Saturdays, 2:30-3:45 10 and under Orange Division For Ages:9-10 Years Old (Very Experienced 8 Year Olds May also Play) Format: Orange Transition Balls, 60 Foot Court Time First 3 Sessions: Saturdays, 3:45-4:45 Last 4 Sessions: Saturdays, 3:45-5:00 11-14 Yellow/Green Ball Division For Ages:11-14 Years Old  (Very Experienced 10 Year Olds May also Play) Format: Yellow and Green Dot Balls, Full 78 Foot Court Time First 3 Sessions: Saturdays, 4:45-5:45 Last 4 Sessions: Saturdays, 5:00-6:15 Dates for the program will be: 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 6/5, 6/12 Backup/Rain Dates will be: 5/29 Cost: $87 for the season: this includes uniform, award, and end of season party Level of Play: The league is for beginner and intermediate players Weekly Format: The first 3 weeks will be practices, focusing on fundamentals, games, and scoring.  The last 4 weeks will be devoted to match play against other teams.  The last session will be a match/awards ceremony. Calendar: April 20 – Registration Ends April 24 – First Practices May 15 – Matches Begin June 12 – Anticipated final matches/Awards Ceremony

The modern day Brandywine Base Ball Club was  established in 2013 and modeled after its 19th century namesake, which formed in 1865 in West Chester, PA and is now a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. In keeping with the spirit of the original ball club and its rival contemporaries, we strive to field the most competitive team possible. However, within the competitive context, we also aim to:  - Provide our members with an outlet for physical fitness through the sport of vintage base ball -Educate the public about baseball history, particularly within the context of Pennsylvania state history - Serve as a point of community pride and entertainment   The Brandywine Base Ball Club plays most home matches according to rules enacted by the NationalAssociation of Base Ball Players in December 9th, 1863 (commonly referred to as “1864 rules”.)    We play our home matches at East Goshen Park in West Chester, PA.  The address is: 1661 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380   As always attendance at all home games are free.  Just bring a chair or blanket and come out and watch.  Our tentative 2021 schedule in EGT Park is: 4/17, 5/15, 5/22, 7/11, 8/28, and 9/11.Visit https://www.brandywinebbc.org/ for updates.We hope to see you there!

WCUPA’s Carnival of Ruin Date: May 29th, 2021Two performances: 11am and 3pm          Location: EGT Park Stage area, see attached event mapDescription:  East Goshen Township Parks and Recreation is proud to host the inaugural performance of Carnival of Ruin, a play with sustainability at its central theme. All costumes, stage props even the big top itself are constructed of post-consumer recycled materials! The audience will be a part of the show and experience, and will travel to three separate stage areas throughout the play. Tickets to the performance are free, but limited to 100 participants for each start time.
